Independent Investigation Clears Acorn of Wrongdoing - Scott Harshbarger

An “Independent Investigation” has cleared Acorn of wrongdoing in the undercover investigation by the pair of brave Americans.

Head “independent” lawyer Scott Harshbarger, senior counsel at Proskauer Rose LLP in Boston and former Massachusetts attorney general determined this after a couple of months likely spent playing Texas Hold ‘em while drinking Bourbon and smoking Cuban Cigars.

It seems the word “independent” only means that Harshbarger is not on Acorn’s payroll – that we know of. But the term independent is a laughable moniker for a Democratic Party operative, politician and partisan hack. This was a foregone conclusion from day one.

If you don’t remember Harshbarger, he was the one who prosecuted the Fells Acres Day Care Center case where several children were allegedly “abused”.

If you also recall, back in the late 80’s and early 90’s a number of other child molestation prosecutions occurred. And it was later determined that shrinks managed to implant false memories in the children’s heads after repeated “sessions” with them.

To Harvard educated Liberal Harshbarger, a conviction was more important than the truth. Several innocent people’s lives were likely ruined by this political wannabe, who used the case to run for Governor in 1998.

This “investifation” has the same credibility as a Halliburton investigation by Dick Cheney would have – none.

This only proves Acorn is the corrupt and fraudulent organization they are believed to be. "

There is no Way that Proskauer Rose LLP could provide "Independent" ANYTHING, Proskauer Rose LLP is too connected with Supreme Court Judges, Politicians, Trillions of Dollars, US Patent Office Officials, Government Officials, the Department of Justice and tons of other Conflicts of Interest. Proskauer Rose LLP - Scott Harshbarger could Simply not be unbiased, this law firm has to many connections and interconnections.

ACORN paid for the Proskauer Rose investigation there is a feeling that the report is compromised - Gee Ya Think?

Proskauer Rose is above the Law, an investigation on them would simply only lead to pay off after pay off.. well yes I am speculating, I don't know obviously however there is so much room for corruption and trillions of dollars to work with so how hard could it be to pay people to lie and in this economy... Paid to Lie is probably one of the best jobs left out there.

The Editors
Initial press coverage of Monday’s report by former Massachusetts Attorney General Scott Harshbarger mostly described the conclusions of the report, focusing primarily on whether ACORN staff had engaged in potentially illegal behaviors in videotaped interactions with two people posing as a pimp and a prostitute (Harshbarger’s report found no actionable illegal behavior).

Although Nonprofit Quarterly only reported on Harshbarger’s report, some NPQ readers were critical of both Harshbarger and the NPQ for seemingly whitewashing ACORN’s managerial and ethical indiscretions.

In related news yesterday, several nonprofits, including seven civil rights and advocacy organizations including the Alliance for Justice and the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights condemned Congress for having cut off government funding to ACORN in advance of an investigation that exonerated ACORN at least in terms of whether ACORN staff did anything expressly illegal.

So where does Nonprofit Quarterly stand on the ACORN imbroglio?
Nonprofit Quarterly believes in the important role of nonprofit organizations that give voice and influence and representation to disadvantaged and disenfranchised communities. In fact, they should be powerful organizations.

That does not mean that they can and should presume themselves above the precepts of good governance and good management, particularly important for the largest organizations by whose size and influence set the moral and ethical tone for the field. This is why Nonprofit Quarterly believes that ACORN bears a special responsibility to own up to, address, and affirmatively correct the problems identified in the Harshbarger report. "

Proskauer Rose is Not Capable of Independent Investigation in my Opinion, they have to many political connections, Supreme Court Connection, and well they are just to "affiliated" with to many layers of the justice system, courts and politics to be independent at all..
